Lush's June review product is a lip scrub called Unicorn. I was looking for a scrub because I need to take care of my lips, and I was happy to see that this is exactly what I needed.
About Unicorn Lip Scrub
This lip scrub makes exfoliating your lips a breeze. It's 20 grams, so it's light enough to travel with, and if you're familiar with Lush's solid perfumes, it's only slightly larger than a solid perfume case.
The main ingredients are prunes and jojoba oil. The prunes give it a sweet fruity scent, while the jojoba oil helps to keep the skin moisturized and healthy. It's also made up of blue and pink sugar granules, so when you open the lid, you can smell the sweet aroma. It's that candy smell we all know and love!
I haven't tried it yet, but if you like the Plum Rain Shower Gel, you'll love the Unicorn Lip Scrub, which I'm sure I'll have to try soon.
If you look sideways, you can see the two-tone color. The product is supposedly inspired by unicorns, which is why it has such a mysterious color scheme.
It's an SP (=Self Preserving) product, which means it's naturally preserved without the use of preservatives. However, the shelf life is about a year, so you can use it up before then...!
Real-world reviews
Here's a quick explanation of how to use it.
- Place the appropriate amount of product on top of your lips.
- Gently roll and massage it in.
- You can use either slightly wet or dry lips.
- As the lip scrub melts, it moisturizes your lips.
- When you're done, wipe it clean with water.
Oh, and if you have dry lips, you may notice a little bit of coloring, but don't worry, it will fade over time.
I hadn't taken care of my lips in a while, and I was stressing out about the flakiness of my lip balm and lipstick lately, so I used the Unicorn Lip Scrub, followed by Rush's lip balm, and my lips were as smooth as ever. I love that I can keep it in the bathroom and use it in the shower.
