[July Review] Magic Crystals Made for Summer Showers

The second product reviewed in July is a body scrub. Lush sells several types of body scrubs, and I tried the Magic Crystals, which has a mystical feel to it.

About Magic Crystals

Magic Crystals are said to be based on naturally derived ingredients, with star anise, sea salt, and peppermint as the main ingredients.

This is a chewy, moist paste formulation.

You can visually see the coarse, tiny salt grains, which are supposed to gently exfoliate the skin without irritating it.

Real-world reviews

In the shower, while still wet, dispense an appropriate amount into your hands and gently massage over your body. Be extra careful to scrub your elbows, knees, and other areas that are prone to dead skin. You should use about 3 to 4 tablespoons of scrub per shower.

Plus, this scrub lathers on contact with water, which means you don't need to use body wash! Just scrub, rinse well, and you're done with your shower. Easy, right?

It contains menthol and peppermint, so you can feel a cooling sensation while using it. At first, you don't feel anything, but as time goes on, it feels like you're wearing a paste all over your body, so it's especially good to use in the summer. However, due to the salt content, it can sting if it comes in contact with a wound, so if you have a wound, please refrain from using it.

After using it, my skin felt smooth and moisturized. The cooling sensation lasted for quite a while as well. I highly recommend this Magic Crystals Body Scrub to anyone who wants a cooling effect while exfoliating!
